This novel is the perfect light reading for breaks at work, down-time day to day life, and before bed. As a lover of all things San Francisco, I highly recommend reading this collection of stories that are set against the backdrop of Northern California and mainly San Francisco. It takes place during the 1980’s and revolves around the main character Winston Churchill (The Loveable Rogue himself) gallivanting his way through his peers social and business circles. I don’t want to reveal too much about the mysteries themselves, but there is no smut or focus on the man/woman in his life; there is a great appreciation for men’s fashion, regal automobiles, and all the activities that go along with the public and private side of the aristocratic class. I now appreciate seeing a Silver Cloud Rolls Royce driving the streets of San Francisco every time- I hope Winston and James might be inside. If you liked Tales of the City or Season of the Witch, you might like The Loveable Rogue Mysteries. I keep waiting for the next collection!

Really well written and entertaining short stories. My only nit is the title of the book and name of the character! If it was called say the Churchill Winston mysteries I would have jumped in faster. Still 5 stars from me as once I started I wanted to finish!
